Guaranteed Methods To Support Academic Success Good Morning, Families There are some guaranteed things you can do to ensure your child is successful academically. They are quite simple but make a huge difference. Three ways to improve academic outcomes for your child: 1. Make sure he/she is at school on time. 2. Don't allow early dismissals. 3. Make sure your child understands that cutting a class may cause him or her to fail that class. 4. Don't call your child's cellphone during instructional time. (Parents are calling during class time) Last year alone we had over three hundred early dismissals. We only have a little over two hundred students in total. Your child can't pass if he or she is not in school. The number one reason for early dismissals last year was things like hair, nail, or birthday shopping appointments. Help us to help you and your child. Please schedule non-emergency appointments for after school or on the weekend. We are tracking the number of early dismissals students get this year. We need your help to reach and teach students what is important. I am making the argument early that education should be important. Your actions and what you allow students to do indicate if you agree or not. I am asking you to agree with me this year. Please help as only you can. Let’s teach students through our actions the value of an education. ThanksMs. Horton
